WHEN/WHERE Auditions for Seussical will be held on Wednesday, May 15th and Thursday, May 16th from 6:30-9:30pm. Video auditions will be accepted at the discretion of the director. Callbacks will be held on Thursday, May 23rd from 6:30-9:30pm by invitation only. Auditions will be at 467 Quaker Ln S West Hartford, CT 06110. |

WHAT For the initial audition, please prepare 32 bars of music in the style of the show (there will be an accompanist present). You will also be asked to do a cold read and learn a short dance combination. Please wear clothing that allows you to move comfortably. If you are called back, you will be provided with any needed music and/or sides via email beforehand. There may also be an additional dance call. |

WHO The cast will be primarily adults, but we will be having a small, selective youth ensemble. The youth ensemble is limited to children entering 6th grade and above in the Fall 2024 school year. Please note: any youth ensemble members must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at auditions and for the duration of each rehearsal throughout the production. Seussical will be directed by Rachel Ballasy, music directed by Susan Carroll, and choreographed by Jen Bunger. |

OTHER INFORMATION Rehearsals will be held every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday night from 6:30 to 9:30pm starting on Monday, August 19th. Tech week will begin Sunday, October 20th with rehearsal every night until opening on October 25th. A sample rehearsal calendar will be available for reference at auditions. You will be asked to list all known rehearsal conflicts on the audition form. You will be expected to attend all of the performances and all rehearsals not listed as conflicts on your audition form.
