West Hartford Fire to Host Senator Blumenthal Announcing Federal Funding for the Fire Service and July 4th Fireworks/Fire Safety Messages

West Hartford, CT – On Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 12pm – Senator Richard Blumenthal will be joined by members of the West Hartford Fire Department, West Hartford town leaders, fire service organizations, and other stakeholders to discuss the recent passage of the Fire Grants and Safety Act, which provides $700 million to fire departments across the nation.
As part of his remarks just prior to the July 4th holiday, Senator Blumenthal is expected to convey important safety messages regarding fireworks, and discuss recent video public safety announcements from the Connecticut Career Fire Chief’s Association partnering with local fire departments, including the West Hartford Fire Department.
