Special Book Donation at Community First School – June 5

Community First School on Thursday, June 5 at 3:30 PM

This event celebrates the impact of our successful Bowling for Books fundraiser, which raised over $5,000 and collected 1,500 books for students in need.

Over $2,500 in brand-new books were purchased for this donation—including engaging fiction titles, educational materials, and books focused on learning about nature and the world around us.

Community First School, located in North Hartford’s federally designated Promise Zone neighborhoods, serves children in grades K–5. The school is committed to helping students “bring out the greatness within,” offering a relationship-based, whole-family care approach to education. Their hands-on, community-rooted curriculum supports each child’s curiosity, creativity, and independence.
