A. Recommended 2026-2027 Budget Revision
Recommendation: THAT the Board of Education adopt a revised 2026-2027 budget
of $226,156,566 by making the following reduction to the previously adopted 2026-2027
Board of Education Budget:
Reduce appropriation for Health Insurance by $400,000
Reduce appropriation for Utilities by $300,000
Increase Pay to Play family cap by $50
B. Revised Policies—Second Reading
Recommendation: Motion by LaToya Yagaloff, Miriam Bleich and Jason Gagnon
THAT the Board of Education accept as a Second and Final Reading the following
revised policies reviewed by the Board Policy Subcommittee:

of Education accept as a Second and Final Reading the following revised policies

A. School Meal Rates
Recommendation: THAT the Board of Education increase 2026-2027 school meal
rates for both elementary and secondary schools by twenty-five cents
B. Ratification of the LOCAL 818, AFSCME, COUNCIL 4, AFL-CIO Cafeteria
Managers Contract Contracts
Recommendation: THAT the Board of Education ratify the negotiated agreement
between the Cafeteria Managers and the Board of Education, for the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2030
C. Ratification of the LOCAL 217 AFL-CIO Cafeteria Workers Contract
Recommendation: THAT the Board of Education ratify the negotiated agreement
between the Cafeteria Workers and the Board of Education, for the period of July 1,
2026 through June 30, 2030
D. Ratification of the West Hartford Federation of Educational Secretaries Contract
Recommendation: THAT the Board of Education ratify the negotiated agreement
between the West Hartford Federation of Educational Secretaries and the Board of
Education, for the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2030
